Happy Holidays from John

Just a quick note to wish you all a great holiday season.

It has been quite a year around the world with elections and wars, political unrest and IPOs. We also had Olympics and new governments in France, China and Egypt. Just days ago a terrible crime was committed in Newton, CT forcing us to rethink our rights and values.

It has also been a year when people revealed themselves and when major milestones of progress were reached. In 2012, half of Manhattan went dark and busy New Yorkers helped each other. Just this past April, we went to Mars. Just a few days ago, South Korea elected its first female President and much more.

As we look forward to 2013, I'd like to take away from this year that people can change, that we can as a society come together in crisis to help each other and further progress, that my daughter can become President of the United States but will likely not be the first woman to do so and that for the next few months we will be exploring another planet with a rover called Curiosity.

Happy Holidays.

JG
